Papilio Static / Ultra Cling Material

Papilio's Static Cling laser film is designed for use in today's best-selling desktop laser printers. You may choose from either clear or white sheets in 8.5" x 11" or with Papilio's exclusive Blue Line - a feature designed to aid in printer feeding - at 8 3/8" x 11". This paper adheres strictly by static and uses - nor leaves behind - any residue adhesive! This paper was designed to be removable and reusable for short periods of time and makes ideal decals for the inside of your car windows, store fronts, or wall clings. Directly printable, these sheets are approximately 3 mil thick and application is a very simple process - just peel, charge and stick! To charge the paper, simply rub it on your target surface to let the static build up. When you need your image on the inside of the window, but can't afford the clear background, use Papilio's Window Masking Spray to "white out" the clear background.

Papilio's Ultra Removable material is similar to static cling in it's uses. It is also ideal for window stickers, wall clings or promotional images, but is designed for longer term use. Unlike the static cling material, the Ultra Removable film has a very slight adhesive that glues the printed image to the surface, but is still gentle enough to remove and reuse, without causing damage to your surface. This directly printable material is available in full 8.5" x 11" sheets, or with Papilio's exclusive Blue Line hard rigid edge to aid in printer feeding at 8 3/8" x 11", clear or white.

Can this media go on the inside of a car window?

Yes it can. To do this, choose the clear material, either Static or Ultra Removable film and print a mirror image. Use Papilio's White Window Masking Spray to cover the non-printed side of the image, which will allow it to appear from the outside in.

Can the Static Cling or Ultra Removable film material be used on the outside of a car, like a bumper sticker?

The adhesive on these media types are not designed for this purpose. It is designed to be removed and replaced routinely, not for long-term use.

Which works better as a wall decoration? Static cling or Ultra Removable film?

Generally, the Ultra Removable material works better as a wall decoration. This material has a slight adhesive that is designed for longer term use than traditional static cling material.

What is the difference between Static Cling and the Ultra Removable material?

Static cling material has no adhesive and adheres strictly by means of static. The Ultra Removable film, on the other hand, has a very mild adhesive that helps the printed image remain in place for longer periods of time. Both are designed to be removable and repositionable.
